Across the main line from the station, the depot's road approach brings you past a plinted class 78. In the 90s held a number of OGEG locos.

A very traditional depot with a half roundhouse and a straight workshop. It stands across the yards from the station, near which is plinthed 1045 012.



And in 1987 not much different, except for the motive power.

The depot is alongside Bischofshofen Bhf. The underpass through the station leads to a footbridge across the Salzach on the east side of the station, and also the depot yard and the Signalling Technology Centre.

Arlberg Pass

Across the main line from Bludenz station, at the east end of the Alberg Pass, this is a large modern depot with a large allocation. In addition, several Nostalgie Eloks are based here.

Standing straight acrss from the Hbf, the depot is formed of two straight sheds. It stands convenient to the GKB yards.

In the centre of a complex of lines through the station area. The depot has three buildings, one of which is a half roundhouse. Another is a modern workshop building with three tracks. Access is via a tunnel but the Olymppicbrucke provides a good vantage point above the depot. Fair numbers of DBAG locos stop over in the depot. J

At the south east end of Wien's main marshalling yard, the depot has a small allocation mainly of local freight locos. In addition, repairs are carried out to stock from the freight yard. Many of its locos station themselves in the yard itself.

Close to the station and adjacent to the main OBB works. There is a museum opposite the station. The depot has a 6 road roundhouse, and a further range of tracks round the turntable.

on the south-east side of the station. It can be viewed from the platform ends. Access is from Frachtenbahnhofstraße.

Just across from Krimml station. A diminutive two lane two loco shed, used little now, but where the steam loco stands clear of service trains in summer.

Situated just east of the station, this depot used to hold a number of locos for banking duties on the Arlberg. By 2004, the building had been demolished, and only a small stabling point remains. but is mainly for freight rolling stock. Many of its locos station themselves in the yard itself.

This former depot comprise a joined pair of half roundhouses, and a straight work shop. A large apron round one roundhoused acted as a holding area for locos. The depot closed in 2004.

At the opposite corner of the yards from the station, there is both a small rundhouse and a traverser fed straigth workshop. Locos also stand throughout the yard.

The Alpenbahnhof depot serves the Mariazellerbahn and is a rariety, an electrified narrow gauge depot.

The Schafbergbahn's depot at St Wolfgang houses 999.104 in February 2004 when the line is closed for the winter.
The depot is situated on the western side of the station platforms, with a traverser outside the lower doors linking the tracks inside the shed.

Set close t the freight yards, and access thrugh an industrial estate, the depot has a halfroundhouse. and a small technical test building.

Alongside Wolfurt station, this three lane building is modern and spacious If visiting the prreserved 1189 by the container crane is worth a look

Some distance from the station buildings, and shared with the local bus depot, Worgl workshop also handles freight stock with locomotives mainly stopping over. RoLa coaches are also handled. J

Tischlerhäusl.
near Zell am See

OBB's narrow gauge depot stands beside the first halt out from Zell am See, Tischlerhäusl, on the road between Brückberg and the town centre. The shed access is direct from the platform end, by the level crossing. Towards Zell am See is the goods shed and the ramp for loading standard gauge wagons onto röllbocke, a facility regretfully not used in 2004. Home for diesel locos and railcars and the steam loco for the Pinzgauer line.
From 2005 operated by SVV.

Only as short distance from the platform end, the depot has very old buildings in the form of a four lane straight wooden shed, and a small workshop. The depot lies between the platform access rounds, and the station avoiding line. preserved disel 2020 01 is plinthed by the offices. Nostalgie 5045 set is based here

A short walk from the Sudbahnhof, the depot comprises a large carriage service area, and a small loco facility. Iy is on two levels.

Perhaps a kilometre from the Westbahnhof, the depot sits above the road, but is visible from the overbridge. Again a large carriage facility, but two loco straight sheds stand either side of the traverser

Wien

The depot is in the midst of running lines and is accessed through a secured tunnel leading into the work shop. A small straight shed completes the building.

Wien

Right in the city centre, and built as part of the FJB complex, this is more like an underground car park. Four lanes, and minimal yard space, the depot offers few photographic opportunities.
