There are many narrow gauge lines in Austria. Some are operated by the ÖBB, some by other companies such as Stern & Hafferl. Others are independent.
Some provide regular scheduled services, others are museum lines offering only occasional services. Below we attempt to list all, and to direct you to information within our site or elsewhere. Remember that in the past Austria covrred parts of Italy and Hungary, where we show lines of Austrian construction. There is a separate section for NG liveries. If we have gallery pictures, then we show you how many galleries there are. Viewers wishing to locate a line in Austria look at our Route Names pages. Don't miss 699.01 An Austrian in Wales
There is a section on NG locomotives, across the lines, but do look at the Mariazellerbahn for Mh6 and for the unique 1099s and 4090s. And don't forget the snowblowers
