Austria has many kinds of railway workshops,
ranging from the manufacturers (like Jenbach)
through the many ÖBB works to the small
workshops of the narrow gauge railways.
This sections attempts to give an insight
into what each does or did. In general
these sites are not open to public visits except on open
days or by special arrangement. Many of course no longer exist.
