The Austrian Railway Group : Wels Depot

Wels depot is located just oitsde the town, close to the huge freight yards and warehouse complex. Busy all week, it is very full on Sundays when much of the yard work and trip freight is suspended. the depot is essential a large roundhouse, an open apron and approach tracks.

In 2004, 1016,1116, 2016, and 2070s formed the backbone of the visitors along with DBAG locos and Taurus locos from MAV, DBAG and Railion.

The video portraits by Ron Ferguson from September 24 and 26, 2004 show the range of OBB amd DB locos still in service.
