Therme Köflach As the name suggests, the funicular at Therme Köflach runs to thermal baths. The hotel Therme Nova, which opened in 2004 on Forstgasse, installed the funicular to assist their clients travel between the hotel complex and the spa thermal bath. The single cabin seats 8 people, and the funicular was built by the Frastanz, Austria, company of REISCH Maschinenbau GmbH, who normally specialise in the manufacture of cableway repair equipment. The funicular is open only to guests of the hotel. The hotel is approximately 2 km south-west of the centre of Köflach, which is served by hourly GKB trains from Graz.
