Journal 29

Front Cover Photo: Innsbruck based class 2080.001 seen at Ehrwald on February 12th 1999 during a pause for the crew to clear ice from the 'sharp end'. This inhenious machine has the capability to turn 360 degrees on its chassis, so it is far less likely to become stranded. However it has no answer for the avalanche conditions which prevailed later in the month when the lines both North and West from Innsbruck were closed. Photo Norman Lamb.
