RAIL4CHEM currently (January 2005) have a single Taurus locomotive on lease:

ES64U2 005 Built by Siemens Krauss Maffei at Siemens München in January 2002. Originally numbered 1116 705-3 when first delivered on lease to Rail4Chem in February 2002, the LZB number was changed to 182 504-1 in 2003. The livery remained green and yellow, with the Rail4Chem logo midway along the green bodyside area. The loco retained the grey under-cab window area on the ends, and has the Dispolok web site address at the left hand side, above the ES64 number towards the right hand side.

Rail4Chem is a joint venture between chemical manufacturers BASF AG, Bertschi AG, Hoyer GmbH and VTG-Lehnkering AG, and operate trans-European services,m mainly for their own companies products. In November 2004 the company received a license to operate services between Germany and the United Kingdom via the Channel Tunnel, which will connect with their existing services into and through Austria. The current (Jan 2005) timetable shows all Rail4Chem services entering Austria via Passau, and servicing Graz and Wien in Austria, with additional through services to Burghausen back in Germany (running via Reid im Innkreis and Brunau am Inn) and Kosice and Zair nad Hronom in Slovakia. The company operates a variety of locomotives, but only one Taurus.

The company operates a fan shop, which includes models of several of the locos leased by Rail4Chem. The Taurus loco is represented by both DC and AC versions, the latter including a digital decoder.
