Altered with side-tank extensions in 1966.
Stored in 1973 after the line beyond Birkfeld closed to passenger trains.
Sold May 1975 to Club 760. On display, at the Club 760 museum,
Frojach-Castel, Murtalbahn. Not in working order(2006).

Bought by SKGLB Museum Mondsee in 1996, but took
until 7 August 2000 to move to SKGLB Museum, Mondsee.
15 March 2002, bought by Club 760. Oberösterreich government paid for
repair at Ceske Velenice, Czech Republic, and returned
to working order on Taurachbahn. 30 November 2004. In service.(2006)

NÖLB U.4 in 1908. On 17 November 1914 transferred to the
Feldtransportleitung Szabadka. Transferred to the Mariazellerbahn on 6 January 1915,
damaged by enemy action, and sent for repair on 15 October 1915.
Then sent to Bopnnis Herzovogenia state railway. In 1918 returned to BBÖ Knittelfeld,
where boiler swapped with U1 . From 14 August 1921 rented by StLB,
for the Kapfenberg Au - Seewiesen
Became BBÖ U.54 in 1922. Transferred as cover on 25 December 1922 to Mariazellerbahn.
Transferred on 8 July 1923 to Waldviertelbahn.
In 1930 transferred to Vellachtalbahn. Transferred in 1934 to Gurktalbahn,
returning to the Vellachtalbahn in 1936. DRB 99 7820 in 1938. ÖStb 99 7820 in 1945.
Transferred as cover on 20 February 1950 to Gurkthalbahn, returning on 29 April 1950,
and moved back to the Gurkthalbahn on 21 November 1950.
ÖBB 298.54 in 1953. On 4 November 1960 the loco was stopped
at Treibach (Waldviertler Schmalspurbahnen). In 1963 transported to Ober Grafendorf
(Mariazellerbahn), and in 1970 was plinthed at Kirchberg an der Pielach.
In 1998 the loco was sold to Club Mh6 and removed to Ober Grafendorf,
who are working to return the loco to service. Not in service 2006.
