Station :

East side of the main road, now bypassed by the Brenner motorway. Runs north-south.
All lines are electrifies, with voltage change (ÖBB 15Kv: FS 3Kv) taking place at different places on different lines. ÖBB locos coast into the station and runs downhill to a siding, from where they are pushed back uphill by a FS diesel.

Depot :

There is no OBB depot. ÖBB locos are stabled at north end of goods yard, to east of the platforms.
To west side of station, in Italian territory. Locos are only FS because of line voltage.

Vantage Points :

North and south ends of the island platform (also for watching the chaos which is the lorry border crossing).
Also Hst Brennersee, 2km north of the station, for trains approaching the border (hourly service, 4 minutes)
