Stern & Hafferl Verkehr
Rolling Stock

Stern und Hafferl operate across 6 lines in a small area, four standard gauge, and two metre gauge. This section attempts to cover their equipment, since as time has passed their numbering scheme has become less critical.

Originally, equipment prefixed 20 was common, and 21 to 27 indicated specific lines within S&H. However this is no longer true. The merger of the LiLo(22) and NWP(21), the shared OBB station at Lambach for LH (25) and LVE (24) and the loss of the BT (27) operaton has meant stock turning up with fleet numbers unrelated to the line. The recent addition of modern diesels to their stock probably indicates more cross running. Here you can see illustrations of many of their rolling stck, but other pictures may appear elsewhere our the ARG site especially in the S&H pages from which you came.

Diesel Locomotives

the company has few non electric tractive units and the ARG have pictures of only one.

the company has operated a fleet of electric locomotives across its lines, mostly bought from other companies. Our gallery includes examples on 3 lines and a museum.

Track Maintenance Vehicles

So far we have only identified three types of mechanically propelled maintainance vehicles. Wagons are included in the wagons page.
Basically ex OBB Class x532 turmwagen, In both the LiLo and LVE fleets. Note the added framework in the lefthand picture.
