An afternoon in 2005 with No. 3by Stephen FordClip 1 No 3, out of sight behind the train, strains up the 1 in 4.5 slope approaching Eben station, where the rack rail ends Clip 2 No 3 on the level section of line between the lake terminus at Achensee, and the town of Maurach Clip 3 No 3, seen from inside the train, arrives on the downhill service at Maurach station Clip 4 No 3 pulls towards the loop in front of the Achenseestüberl with stock to form an early afternoon service for Achensee Clip 5 No 3 shunting to the coaling and water point at Jenbach Clip 6 No 3 arrives at Jenbach with the late afternoon service from Achensee | |

Out of the station, past the depot and onto the rack.
Swaying gently up the rack.
The guard supervises as we approach and enter Burgeck.
Great sound on a hard climb.
We enter the crossing loop at Eben and pause.
No.2 runs round
and backs on ready for the next section.
No. 2 disappears into the smoke and steam.
and at the lake, No 2 runs round for the descent.
No 2 sets off along the lake shore.
No. 1 parallels the traffic.
No. 1 at Jenbach runs to the depot. Great sound!
